Scout AI

Find products with real demand, then create original designs for them.

Scout AI overview

Most of the work in print on demand is not drawing. It is deciding what to draw. Scout AI is an autonomous agent that takes that decision on: you give it a search term, it researches real sales demand around that term, and it comes back with finished designs you can publish with the same bulk tools you already use.

A run ends in your Designs, in the folder you picked. From there it is an ordinary design, so you can refine it on the Canvas, generate mockups for it, and publish it to any connected store.

Availability and credits

Scout AI is available on the Pro and Pro Plus plans. It spends the same credits as Dream AI and background removal, drawing on the monthly allowance your plan includes.

Before a run starts, the page tells you how many designs it will produce and roughly how many credits that will cost, so nothing is spent without you seeing the number first. The model you choose is the biggest factor: newer models handle lettering and fine detail better and cost more per design.

Running Scout

A run starts with your search terms. Put one term on each line: every line is researched separately and produces its own set of designs, so three lines is three runs rather than one run about three things.

Underneath the terms you can add extra instructions, which steer the artwork without changing what Scout researches. Something like "designs for dark shirts, distressed vintage feel, no bright colours" is the right level of detail. A few recommended starting points are offered if you would rather not write one from scratch.

What you set before a run

AI image model
Which model draws your designs. Newer models handle lettering and fine detail better, and cost more credits each.
Product
The product these will be printed on. This genuinely shapes the artwork, because a mug design is not a tee design.
Aspect ratio
The shape of the generated artwork, matched to the print area you have in mind.
Designs per search term
How many designs to generate for each line you typed. This is what the credit estimate multiplies.
Save to designs folder
Where the finished designs land, so a run does not scatter itself through your library.

Optional extras

Remove background
Runs background removal on each result, which saves a pass over the batch later if you are printing on garments.
Trademark protection
Screens the idea before Scout researches it and skips anything that fails, so a trademarked niche never reaches the generation step.
Write my listing copy
Hands each finished design to Vision AI, which writes the title, tags and description ready for publishing.

Brand profiles

Left alone, Scout will follow the demand wherever it leads, and the results will look like a collection of unrelated products. A brand profile is how you stop that: it describes your style once, and every run reads from it.

You can build a profile from scratch or let Scout draft one, then edit it. Once a profile exists you pick it on the run, and choose how closely to follow it.

Loose adherence treats the profile as a hint and keeps more of the variety that demand research turns up. Strict adherence keeps the batch recognisably yours at the cost of some range. Which you want depends on whether you are filling out an established shop or still looking for what works.

Scheduled runs

Scout does not have to be driven by hand. A schedule saves a run's whole configuration under a name and repeats it for you, which is what makes it an agent rather than a generator.

Give the schedule a name, set how many runs per day it should make, and switch it on. The schedule keeps its own seed term and carries the same model, product, brand profile and extras as a manual run.

Each schedule shows how many runs it has made today and when it last ran. You can pause one, resume it, or trigger a run immediately without waiting for the next slot.
