MyDesigns

Features

MyDesigns Store

Your own hosted storefront, run by MyDesigns, with checkout and fulfillment built in.

What it is

Spin one up inside MyDesigns without any external platform. There is nothing to authorize, no hosting or plugins to maintain, and no marketplace fees. You publish products to it the same way you publish anywhere else, and buyers browse, purchase, and check out directly on the store.

Orders placed on your store flow straight into the MyDesigns order dashboard, and fulfillment is handled natively, so selling on your own store keeps everything in one place. You also own the customer relationship, which means you keep more of every sale and can build a direct audience.

MyDesigns Stores are available on every paid plan, and your plan sets how many you can run at once.

Supported product types

A MyDesigns Store supports both physical print-on-demand (POD) products and digital products, and a single order can contain a mix of the two.

Print-on-demand products
Physical items produced through our print partners or a connected catalog such as Printify. When an order comes in, it's routed automatically to the print partner for production and shipping.
Digital products
Downloadable files that are delivered to the customer automatically once payment is confirmed, with no manual action required.

Because POD products can be sourced from our print partners or from catalog integrations like Printify, everything in your catalog is available to sell on your store.

Publishing and bulk tools

You publish to a MyDesigns Store using the same tools you already use across MyDesigns, including bulk workflows for larger catalogs.

Bulk publishing
Publish many products at once and use a shared template to apply consistent settings across a batch instead of editing each listing individually.
Mockup generation
Generate product mockups from the built-in mockup engine or your own PSD templates before publishing.
AI listing content
Generate titles, tags, and descriptions for your listings automatically, so products are ready to publish faster.

Managing your MyDesigns Store

The store is designed to stay manageable as your catalog grows, with merchandising and financial options built in.

Inventory management
Filter products by store status on the products page to keep large catalogs organized.
Merchandising
Group products into Store Collections and surface Recommended Products to guide buyers through your catalog.
Financials
Payments run through Stripe Express. You can share a single connected account across multiple stores or set up a separate account per store.
Flexible setup
A store can stay active even before a payment method is configured, so you can build it out gradually.

Hosting and infrastructure

Because we host the store for you, the underlying infrastructure is handled on our side.

Custom domains
Every store gets a free subdomain, and you can connect your own custom domain when you're ready.
Free SSL
Each storefront includes an SSL certificate at no extra cost.
Responsive by default
Stores are optimized for desktop and mobile automatically.
Tax handling
Taxes are handled through Stripe Express and Stripe Tax, so tax collection is managed as part of checkout.

Built-in marketing tools

Your store includes marketing and conversion features natively, so you don't need to add separate apps for them.

Analytics
Built-in traffic and conversion tracking for your store, from page views to what your customers are browsing, with no third-party analytics tool required.
Product reviews
An integrated review system for both your store and individual products.
CRM integration
Connect your store to Klaviyo to grow your email list from your storefront and run abandoned-cart flows.
Discounts and coupons
Run sales, offer free shipping over a threshold, reward bigger carts, and hand out coupon codes, all priced by your storefront at checkout.
Meta Ads
Sync your products to a Meta catalog to advertise them on Facebook and Instagram, and report sales back so the ads can learn. See Advertising on Meta below.
Google Analytics 4
Send your storefront's traffic and sales to your own GA4 property, so your store appears in the reports you already use.
Google Shopping
Coming soon. Advertise your products across Google Shopping from the same catalog.

Advertising on Meta

Your products go into a Meta catalog, and what buyers do on your store is reported back to Meta. Meta then decides which product to show to which person. Three pieces make that work.

Product feed
A file your store publishes with every product you enabled for Meta. You give Meta the address once, and Meta re-reads it on its own schedule.
Meta Pixel
A small piece of code on your storefront that tells Meta what a visitor looked at, added to cart, or bought.
Conversions API
The same information, sent from our servers instead of the browser. Ad blockers and privacy settings hide many browser events, so this recovers the sales that would otherwise go unreported.

Before you start

You need a Meta Business account at business.facebook.com. It is free, and everything below happens inside it.

Step 1 — Verify your domain

In Business Manager, open Business settings, then Brand safety, then Domains. Add your store domain and follow the verification method Meta offers. Adding a DNS TXT record at your domain registrar is the usual one. Meta only trusts product links and events coming from a verified domain, and skipping this makes ads under-deliver later in ways that are hard to diagnose.

Step 2 — Create a catalog and add your feed

Open Commerce Manager and create a catalog of type E-commerce. Inside it, go to Data sources, choose Add items, then Scheduled feed. Meta asks for a URL. Copy it from Stores, Customize Store, Meta Ads tab, where the Product feed box has a copy button.

https://your-store-domain/meta-feed.csv
  • Leave the username and password fields blank. The feed needs no login.
  • Set the schedule to hourly.
  • Meta reads the file straight away and shows any problems it found.
  • This is the only address you ever paste. From here on Meta re-reads it by itself, so new products appear and removed ones disappear without you doing anything.

Step 3 — Copy your Pixel ID and access token

Open Events Manager and select your pixel, or create one if you have none.

  • The Pixel ID is the long number shown at the top of the page.
  • For the token, open Settings, find the Conversions API section, and choose Generate access token.

Step 4 — Paste them into MyDesigns

Back in MyDesigns, go to Stores, open Customize Store, and select the Meta Ads tab. Paste both values under Connection and save. The banner at the top of the tab changes to Connected. Your access token is stored for our servers to use and is never shown again, not even to you.

Step 5 — Send a test event

In Events Manager, open your pixel and select the Test events tab. Meta shows a short code that looks like TEST12345. Paste that code into the Test box in the Meta Ads tab and choose Send test event. It should appear in Meta's window within a few seconds, which confirms your token works.

Step 6 — Connect your pixel to your catalog

In Commerce Manager, open your catalog, go to Settings, and connect your pixel to it.

Step 7 — Launch a campaign

In Ads Manager, create a campaign with the Sales objective and choose Advantage+ catalog ads. Select the catalog you created, set your budget, and publish.

Choosing which products to advertise

You decide per product whether it goes into your Meta catalog. Products you never touch follow your store default, which you set in the Meta Ads tab under New products.

  • To change several at once, select them on the Products page and use Bulk actions.
  • Turning a product off removes it from the feed, and Meta drops it from your catalog the next time it reads the file.
  • There is nothing to undo. Turning it back on puts it back.

Google Analytics 4

If you already use Google Analytics, your storefront can report into your own GA4 property rather than leaving you with two separate sets of numbers. MyDesigns keeps its own built-in analytics either way, so this is an addition rather than a replacement.

Open Stores, then Customize Store, and select Analytics in the side menu. Paste your Measurement ID, which looks like G-XXXXXXXXXX, and save.

You will find that ID in Google Analytics under Admin, then Data streams, then your web stream. Leaving the field blank stops the storefront sending anything.

Customizing your store

Everything about how your store looks and behaves lives in one place. Open Stores and select Customize Store, and you get a side menu of sections with a live storefront preview beside it, so you can see a change before you commit to it.

Payouts, Domains and Advanced
Your Stripe payout account, your custom domain, and the remaining store-level settings.

Discounts and coupons

Your store prices every cart against the discounts you have set up, so a shopper sees the right price on the product page, in the cart and at checkout without you touching a line of code. Discounts live under Stores, Customize Store, Discounts.

Rather than building a discount from scratch, you pick what kind of offer you want to run and fill in a short form.

Run a sale
Put products on sale with a percentage off. Shoppers see the sale price with the regular price crossed out beside it.
Free shipping over an amount
Free shipping once the cart reaches a total, or on every order. Shows a progress bar on your store and in the cart.
Spend and save
Reward bigger carts with a percentage or a fixed amount off once a shopper spends enough or buys enough items.
Coupon code
A code shoppers enter at checkout for a percentage off, a fixed amount off, or free shipping. Comes with a share link you can send out as it is.
Thank-you coupon
Automatically email every buyer a one-time code for their next order, which is the simplest way to turn a first sale into a second one.

Setting the terms

Whichever kind you choose, the same controls are available underneath it.

  • Scope: apply the discount to every product, to chosen collections, or to specific products.
  • Value: a percentage, a fixed amount, or free shipping.
  • Minimum: no minimum, a minimum order value, or a minimum number of items.
  • Dates: start and end it on a schedule, or leave it running.
  • Codes: one shared code everyone uses, or a batch of unique single-use codes you mint and hand out individually.
  • On-sale products: choose whether a coupon can stack on products that are already discounted.

Every discount carries a status, so at a glance you can tell what is live and what is not: Draft, Scheduled, Active, Off, or Expired. Once a discount has run, its row shows the orders and sales it brought in.
