I changed my products but my listings did not update. Why?

Bulk edits are saved in MyDesigns only. Open Actions, then Sync, and choose the sync that matches what you changed, or Sync all. You can filter the Products page by Out of sync to find products waiting for a sync.

Why are Variants, Print files and Mockups greyed out?

These edits need every selected product to be in the same product group. Variants, Print files and Mockups are also unavailable when the selection includes a digital product.

Will editing a design update the products made from it?

No. Products keep their own copy of everything at creation time. Edit the products themselves on the Products page, then sync.

Can I bulk edit with a spreadsheet?

Not for existing products. On the Designs page you can export designs as XLSX or CSV, and upload new designs from an Excel file on plans that include Excel import.

Bulk editing overview

Bulk edits are saved in MyDesigns first. To update your live listings, sync the products afterwards.

Most of your catalog work happens on many items at a time. You can bulk edit on two pages, and which one you use depends on what you want to change.

Products page: Edits products you have already created: their titles, descriptions, tags, variants, prices and personalization. Use this for anything that is, or will be, listed in a store.
Designs page: Edits the fields (meta) stored on your designs before they become products. Changes here are never pushed to products you already created.

Selecting what to edit

Tick the checkbox on each item you want to edit, or hold Shift and click to select a range. The checkbox at the top of the list selects everything on the current page.

On the Products page, the top checkbox selects the page on screen. Items you pick stay selected when you move to another page, so you can build a selection across pages one page at a time. Raise Products per page to 120 to select more in one go.
On the Designs page, click the top checkbox a second time to select every design in the folder or filtered list, across all pages. The menu next to it also has Select range, for picking designs by position.

Switching to a different folder or product group clears your selection.

Editing product titles, descriptions and tags

Go to Products and select the products you want to change.
Open Actions and choose Update data.
In the Bulk Edit Meta window, pick an Operation for each field you want to change. Fields left on No change are not touched.
Fill in the value, or the Find and Replace with fields, and check the Live Preview on the right.
Select Apply Changes. The footer shows how many products will be modified.
Open Actions, then Sync, and choose Sync title, desc, tags to send the changes to your stores.

Title and description operations

Prepend: Adds your text to the start of the existing value.
Append: Adds your text to the end of the existing value.
Set (replace entire): Replaces the whole value with your text.
Find & Replace: Replaces every occurrence of a word or phrase with another, leaving the rest of the text as it is.

Tag operations

Add tags: Adds tags to the ones each product already has.
Remove tags: Removes the tags you list from every selected product.
Set (replace all): Replaces all existing tags with the tags you list.
Find & Replace tag: Swaps one tag for another wherever it appears.
Clear all tags: Removes every tag from the selected products.

If any selected product is live on Shopify, the window also offers SEO title and SEO description, and a Product metafield field when your Shopify store has metafields set up. These are sent to Shopify on the next sync.

Editing variants and prices

Variants can only be edited together when the products share the same structure, which means they belong to the same product group. Products you created in one go are grouped automatically.

Go to Products, open the product group and select the products you want to change.
Open Actions and choose Variants.
In Manage Variants, choose Edit Price and pick an Action.
Enter the value and select Apply to change the current product, or Apply to all to change every selected product.
Select Save.
Open Actions, then Sync, and choose Sync variants and prices.

Set price: Sets every variant to the same price.
Adjust by %: Raises or lowers current prices by a percentage.
Adjust by amount: Raises or lowers current prices by a fixed amount.
Set profit $ and Set profit %: Works the price out from the profit you want to make. Production cost is always included, and you can choose to include shipping and fees too.
Set margin %: Prices each variant to reach the margin you set.

To run a sale, tick Enable discounts, enter a Discount (%) and apply it the same way.

Editing one product's variants on its own moves it out of its group, so it can no longer be edited together with the others. Make group-wide changes with Apply to all.

The same Edit actions also cover Personalization, Print files and Mockups for products in one group. Personalization lets you apply the same buyer questions to all selected products or adjust one product at a time.

Editing design data

Go to Designs and select the designs you want to change.
Open Actions and choose Edit.
Choose the field in Select Field for Action, then pick an action in Choose Action.
Check the Preview of Changes, select Apply to Selected Listings and confirm.

Add to front: Adds your text to the start of the field.
Add to end: Adds your text to the end of the field.
Find and replace: Replaces a word or phrase with another.
Find and delete: Removes a word or phrase from the field.
Overwrite: Replaces the whole field with your text.
Clear Field: Empties the field.

Use Add Variable to insert a value that differs per design, such as a running number or the file name of one of the design's slots. This is handy for numbering a batch or naming designs after their files.

This edits the fields defined by the collection template. If the template has no fields, there is nothing to edit.

To fill tags rather than edit them, use Bulk tags in the Text actions. It generates up to 50 tags per design from a keyword you give it.
