Features
Canvas
Design directly inside MyDesigns with the built-in canvas editor.
Canvas overview
Canvas is a full design editor built directly into MyDesigns. You work on an artboard, add layers, and arrange everything visually until the design looks right — no external software required.
You can reach for Canvas in two ways. Use it standalone to build a brand-new design from the ground up, or use it embedded inside another feature, where it opens on top of an existing print file so you can adjust it on the fly.
What you can add
Canvas gives you a set of building blocks in the side panel. You combine them freely on the artboard, and every item becomes its own layer you can move, resize, and restyle at any time.
- Rich Text
- Add and style text with full control over fonts, sizing, spacing, and effects — ideal for typography-driven designs.
- Uploads
- Bring in your own images from your computer and place them directly on the artboard.
- Designs
- Pull in artwork you already have in your Designs library without leaving the editor.
- Elements
- Drop in ready-made graphic elements to decorate and complete your composition.
- Pixabay
- Search and insert stock photos from Pixabay right inside the canvas.
- Shapes
- Add geometric shapes to build layouts, backgrounds, and accents.
- Dream AI
- Generate new artwork with AI and place it straight onto the artboard.
Once objects are on the artboard, the toolbox lets you fine-tune them — reordering layers, adjusting position, applying effects, editing photos, cropping, and more.
Using Canvas standalone
On its own, Canvas is a blank artboard where you build a design from scratch. Add text, images, elements, and shapes, arrange them into a finished composition, and save the result as a design you can use anywhere in MyDesigns.
This is the same editor you would expect from any modern design tool, but tightly connected to the rest of the platform — your uploads, your Designs library, and Dream AI are all one click away.
Canvas in order personalization
For personalized orders, Canvas opens directly on the customer's print file. You see the design as it was submitted, along with the personalization details, and can make precise edits before the file is sent to production.
Because the editor loads the real print file, your changes apply to exactly what will be printed. Adjust text, swap or reposition artwork, and add personalization images straight onto the canvas, then save to update the order's print file.
Canvas in product creation
Canvas is also embedded in product creation, where it handles placing print files onto a product's print areas. Each product placeholder defines the print area — its dimensions, DPI, and output format — and Canvas positions your design to fit it precisely.
This lets you set up exactly how a design sits on each print area of a product, so the print file is generated correctly for every placeholder before the product goes live.
