Rustic Alaskan Lodge in Snow

4. The Rustic Alaskan Lodge A sprawling timber-frame lodge in the Anchorage hillside, surrounded by a dense spruce forest covered in heavy snow. The lighting is understated and natural, using vintage Edison-style string lights draped loosely across the expansive deck and porch railings. Lanterns with real candles (or flickering LED candles) line the walkway. The focus is on the warmth of the wood and the texture of the snow. A real fire pit is burning in the front yard, adding a warm orange flickering light that contrasts with the snowy surroundings.
